School Meals

Children have the choice of having packed lunches or hot meals. Hot meals need to be ordered online and paid for in advance. They can be taken daily or on selected days during the week. Menus are on a three-week rota - there is always a choice of a main meal, jacket potato or a vegetarian option.

Hot meals are provided free of charge for all pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 as part of our government's commitment to Universal Free School Meals for infants. The vast majority of families at Colehill take up this offer of a free hot meal for their children. However, parents are not obligated to do so and some pupils do bring a packed lunch.

Paid meals are offered to pupils in years 3 and 4 at a daily cost of £2.80. Meals are provided by Forerunner, a local provider with an excellent reputation for catering in schools and other settings.

We encourage the children to eat as much of their meal as possible and to try a bit of everything. If yoru child has not eaten their hot school meal well, we will send a note home. Please provide a water bottle for your child. Water is available for those who have forgotten.
