Let's Go Potty - Year 4
A great start to the year for our Snow Leopards! We welcomed Julian and his team from the Priest's House Museum, who taught us about the local history of pottery. We spent the morning sorting different pots into different time periods dating back to the Stone Age. We discovered that Dorset was well known for it's "Dorset Owl" pottery - a piece of pottery that was used as a 'water bottle'. On day two, we made our own clay using natural ingredients and moulded the clay into a pot. It was a fun, sticky and messy morning. We are looking forward to day three, where we will get the chance to fire our pottery. For more pictures, pleased head to our gallery.
